Although the Alexandra Falls viewpoint is one of the most visited places in Mauritius, many people don’t know that you can also hike down to the base of the waterfall.

The Alexandra Falls hike offers an entirely different perspective  from the bottom, you’ll get a clear view of the multi-tiered waterfall flowing down over a steep cliff surrounded by lush green forest to finally meet into a small pool below. This short but slightly technical in the black river gorges takes you along a narrow and uneven terrain that’s nothing short of amazing!
